The Department of Fine Arts of The Chinese University of Hong Kong has nourished many talented young artists. This exhibition showcases a wide range of work – from Chinese ink, western painting, ceramics, and installations, to video art and animation – by thirty-one 2006 fine arts graduates. It is the first time these art students collaborated with the corporate world to bring art closer to the public, and is a truly unique opportunity for them to demonstrate what they have learnt from school. Lui Long Ting, one of the graduates, said, “We Fine Arts students are literally creating art on the mountain as the campus of CUHK is located on a little hill. That’s why we call this exhibition our Mountain Project.”
